We're baaaack, b*tches.
REVEALED: The where and when of THE tour, the doppelgangers we can't look away from, a balm for your bits, an ode to unsung wedding heroes & a 10-year anniversary quiz. It's. All. Happening. 🎉
Hiii Outlouders, Em Vernem here 🙋🏾♀️
I know you’re probably frantically skimming these words in excitement and frankly, I don’t blame you. The truth is out— we’re going back on tour!
Mia’s Windex-ing her sequins in preparation, Holly’s curating her red lipstick collection and Jessie is… well, Jessie is researching the devil out of putting on the best tour ever in the history of best tours. We’re calling it the tour of the millennium — mostly because we’re nothing if not understated.
But yes, yes, yes, we heard you.
Not only are we bringing the Mamamia Out Loud Live 2025 All Or Nothing Tour Presented by Nivea Cellular to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, WE ARE COMING TO PERTH. I repeat. This is not a drill. Perth, we’re coming for ya! 🥳

Weekly Reccos 📺 📖 🎧
The show must go on (for now). Here are your weekly recs.
Jessie wants you to watch
The Day of the Jackal on Binge.
“It’s a remake of a 1973 film starring Eddie Redmayne as an assassin and Lashana Lynch as an MI6 British intelligence officer trying to track him down. It's perfect to watch with your partner or your parents, or if you've got different age groups in the house and you need something that you'll all enjoy.”
Mia wants you to listen to
Bruna Papandrea’s MID interview with Hol.
“Bruna, in many ways, is at one of the high points of her career. She's an incredibly successful producer, she's getting so many things done, she's got all these projects on the go, but she lives with an invisable chronic illness called lupus. It’s an autoimmune disease and she wakes up in pain every single day. She talks about the intersection between the highest points in her life and what her body kind of won't let her do.”
I want you to buy
“I’ve talked about my vaginismus a lot on the pod and the founders of this company reached out and sent me this balm that has changed my life. If you experience dryness, irritation, chaffing or just want something that calms it all down, I’ve been using this everyday and it’s really helped my ✨condition✨”

So, which Out Loud host are you really?
A note from Jessie:
Friends, this week, Mamamia Out Loud turned 10.
In that time, we’ve had more than 112 million downloads, making us one of the biggest podcasts in the country. This year, we’re the number one podcast in Australia for women.
That is all thanks to you, the incredible Outlouders, some who have been with us since the very beginning.
It is such a joy making this show and hanging out with you all in this group. You’re the best.
Our team decided to make something a bit fun to celebrate. It’s a quiz where you can work out your personality type and by that, we mean whether you’re a Mia, a Holly or a Jessie.
Commiserations to anyone who gets Mia ❤️
Some wickedly good things. 🧙♀️
ICYMI (we know you haven’t), but there’s a certain musical movie that’s come out and it’s all everyone can talk about…
THAT SCENE, and 10 other Easter eggs you probably missed in Wicked.
Everything you need to know about Wicked: Part 2.
A new 'queer' theory, an on-set affair, and all the Wicked gossip in one place.
This is why people are sobbing in the streets over Wicked.
We broke down all things Wicked from the musical to the movie to the very earnest press tour on Wednesday’s episode of the pod.

Vulva chat. 🌹
'Labia puffing' is the latest beauty trend and we need to talk about it.
Today's beauty standards make you want to pull your hair out.
You're either not eating enough or eating too much. Your lips are too thin or they look too fake. Your nose is too small or too big. You're wearing too little makeup or you're overdoing it.
Honestly, the list is INFINITE.
And just when we thought things couldn't get any more complicated, some females are now feeling like they have to adjust the volume of their… labia.
Yes, people are injecting filler…
More vulva content for you 👀
'As a teen, I wanted labiaplasty. One sentence from the surgeon changed my life.'
These are 50 photos of what women’s vulvas actually look like.
'For years, I was ashamed of my vulva. Here's what I want you to know.'
We discussed this new nether-regions trend on Wednesday’s show.

A doppelganger discussion.
Lookalike contests have us all in the chokehold. From a gathering of Timothée Chalamets in New York City to a swarm of Heath Ledgers right on our doorstep.
On Monday’s show, it made us think about who our celebrity lookalikes would be which honestly was a mistake because you guys took this idea and RAN with it. Now, the Outlouders Facebook group is full of opinions on who Mia, Holly & Jessie look like. Here are our top contenders:
🎧 Follow below to listen to the doppelganger discourse that starts at the 34:20 mark.
Merry Chat GPT.
Get with the times guys, we’re getting Chat GPT to write our Christmas lists now. On Wednesday’s show, we had a bit of show and tell where Mia, Holly & Jessie asked Chat GPT what they should buy for each other.
SOOOOOOOO….
We’re putting together a ⭐️ Mamamia Out Loud 2024 Christmas Gift Guide ⭐️
But first, we need your help.
What’s on your Christmas wish list? What are you buying or making for the loved ones in your life this year? Tell us in the comments and we’ll take some of the stress out of the season by sharing the intel around.
As a little teaser, here’s what our new friend Chat GPT suggested Mia should buy Holly…
Here are some thoughtful Christmas gift ideas for your gardening-loving friend that stay under $100:
Personalized Garden Tool Tote – A tote bag or organizer to keep her tools and essentials handy. This got a yes from Hol.
Garden Wind Chimes – A beautiful chime to add a soothing ambiance to her outdoor space. Not so much. Hol loves her peace and quiet.
Outdoor Lanterns or Solar Lights – Solar-powered lights to illuminate her garden at night. A definite possibility.
Garden Journal – A journal for planning her garden layout, tracking growth, and taking notes. Hard yes from Hol.

Holding space for the unsung wedding heros.
Friday’s show about weddings made me realise that it’s time we recognise who the true stars of weddings are. I’m not talking about the bride or groom or anyone in the bridal party. I’m talking about those few guests who give the people what they want. By people, I mean those of us who didn’t cop an invite but wanted a pervy look into what everyone was wearing, the drama that unfolded (there’s always a drama story) and just good old fashioned content on the day of. Let me introduce you to what I like to call… The Wedding Avengers.
The iPad Boomer.
Listen, iPads are meant to be on your lap. Yes, I know they have a camera on them but that’s honestly none of my business. As a society we all agreed that iPads would be used like computers and nothing more… until the Boomers realised what they can do. Now, I know what you’re going to say “not all Boomers”. I agree, but there’s always one.
The one Boomer who is in every single wedding photo with their giant iPad in front of their face using it to take photos. This iPad user is magic. They weirdly have more authority than the professional photographer and they command the room. You can’t miss them with their fluro pink iPad case flapping in the wind as they get the perfect shot.
The Facebook Album Aunt.
This is the most reliable content creator of the wedding. It’s the aunt that immediately posts every photo the moment it’s taken.
They post at 10am showing off their dress, they post at 1pm letting their Facebook friends know that the bride is late, they post at 8pm a photo of their fish when they wanted the steak. You can bet these posts are accompanied with a caption that says “My head hurts from dancing. Or maybe it was the champagne 😅. Thanks for the great night, Jess and Tom.”
The TikTok Live Cousin.
This is the kid that rocks up when you said “no kids allowed.” Their parents (your siblings) say “We’ve given them our phone, they won’t make a noise.” They’re right, they aren’t making a noise, what they are doing, however, is live filming your wedding for the world to see. Luckily it’s from their little POV so all we’re getting are legs and background music. Still, 10/10 content and much more than what we’re getting from the bride and groom.
The Fireball Shots Best Man.
There’s always that one friend that everyone rolls their eyes at but the groom says something like “He’s been my mate forever, I have to invite him.”
This is the guy who won’t leave the dancefloor. It’s the guy who convinces Nana to take shots with him. It’s the guy who has his shirt off (but tie still on) by 10pm. He’s not the best wedding guest but he’s the one that is the main character in all the stories that us outsiders hear about when what went down at the wedding is discussed.
This group of people are in my opinion, the best people at the wedding. They’re the ones that might be the most annoying at the time but also the ones who you’ll always remember and laugh about (except for maybe Nana who should definitely not be doing fireball shots.)
